As a 1978 graduate of Saint Martin’s College (now Saint Martin’s University), I received my degree in history with a minor in language (German). I always wanted to be a librarian since working in the library at Olympia High School as a student and pursued this goal after graduation achieving my school librarian credentials in the early 1990’s.
After receiving my degree, I initially taught at the high school level before becoming the librarian at Rogers Elementary School. Since 2000 I have been the Teacher/Librarian at Reeves Middle School.
I thoroughly enjoy working with middle school students using both my “teacher” and “librarian” hats as best fits the situation and the student’s needs. Our beautiful new library is fast becoming the favorite place to do homework, research, find a great book, or, just relax and browse through our magazine collection in one of our comfy reading chairs.
If you haven’t stopped by to see our new library, please do so…it is a great place to work and learn for staff and students alike!
