Principal's Message June 2018

End of Year News and Back to School Updates

1. We have three amazing staff members retiring this year:

Please send your well wishes to the three incredible people that are leaving a legacy of commitment and dedication to Reeves families and students over the past 3+ decades.  Reeves staff is sad to say goodbye, but also very excited for the grand adventures that await. Best wishes and our sincerest congratulations to Lori Smith (Lead Secretary & Office Manager), Joan Schooler (8th grade ELA teacher), and Paula Vitalich (Lead Cook & Manager).

RMS staff will be celebrating these unique and wonderful individuals with retirement gatherings on June 13th and June 20th.  Please feel free to drop off cards to Janette Jones at the attendance window or send e-mails congratulating their “graduation” from Reeves Middle School.   ☺

2.  NO after school study hall this week:

The last day of our after school study hall program was on June 7th.  With a generous donation from a community member that prefers to remain anonymous, we have been able to provide Tuesday and Thursday study hall this year.  An adult supervisor and 3 high school students receive payment for their weekly support of RMS students with this annual grant. We hope to continue this program in the 2018/19 school year.

3.  Reward Day for the SBAC and WCAS testing effort:

We are SO proud of our Reeves Raiders for their tremendous testing efforts in May.  On Friday (June 8) we had a reward activity morning to celebrate this awesome group of students.  Thank you parents for sending your kids to school each testing day with a great “can-do” attitude.
