Reeves Raider Report
Hello Raiders and Families!
Happy Sunday!  The sun has returned for maybe one last farewell of the year.  Be sure to get out and enjoy it while you can!
Before the sun though, we had some questionable, or as I call it, 2020 weather, on Friday.  I was hearing a lot of reports of power outages around the county that affected our students and teachers.  We understand this will happen from time to time and it is out of all of our control.  Power outages will not count against you.  If you are in the middle of class and a teacher loses power, continue your class period with asynchronous learning.  Check Schoology if possible and your teacher will update you when they can.  If you lose power, email your teacher when you can to let them know and if you haven’t taken attendance for the day, call and leave a message on the attendance line letting the office know what is going on.  That number is 360-596-3404.
Are you a seventh or eighth grader interested in student government?  It is time for the Reeves Student Body to elect a new ASB President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.  Tomorrow morning Mrs. Zarate will be emailing out details on how to apply and how to vote!
Our yearbook is off to a great start!  Now they need photos of your virtual classroom.  If you would like to submit a photo, please go to or download the Yearbook Snap App on your phone.  The access code is rms2020.  Also watch these sites for other photo themes yearbook will be looking for in the coming weeks.  As far as individual student portraits, they are on pause for the time being.  We plan to schedule these as soon as we return to a hybrid model.  I will continue to share information about our plans for these as they come.
Friday, October 9th is a no school, teacher in-service day.  Our schedule will shift that week and we will have periods 4, 5 and 6 on Wednesday instead of Friday that week so that we will still have a full week of learning.  Please see the attached schedule for that week only.
I am off to watch the Seahawks game with my family.  I hope you all have a wonderful week!
