Hello Reeves Families!

 

It was so beautiful out today, despite the frigid temperatures. Still the perfect day to bundle up, ride bikes, take the dog on a walk or play at the park. However your family spent the day, I hope you had some relaxing time together!

 

Another reminder that this Friday is the last day of the first semester. That means grades will be finalized for this term so if students have any assignments to turn in or tests to retake, this is your last chance. Families, you can view your student’s grades through Skyward Family Access at any time. Here is a great 60 second video tutorial showing you how to access grades if you are unsure. 

 

Thursday and Friday will both be half days this week and we will release at 12:25. We will also be having students clean out their lockers at the end of this week so we can start fresh for second semester on Monday. Sack lunches will be provided to students to take home before they exit the building both days.

 

A message from our PTA! On Wednesday, February 1^st, the Reeves PTA will be hosting our Chipotle Night Out at the brand-new Chipotle on Pacific Avenue. Order ahead and use the code JVRXT9W. A portion of the proceeds will come back to the PTA. Also, please join us at the PTA meeting on Thursday, February 2^nd to talk about drama club and how to support our school with the most recent teacher grant applications. Finally, the 8^th grade activity committee is scheduled for February 16^th from 6:00 - 7:30 in the library.

 

The City of Olympia is hosting a Reeves Activity Night, a 90’s Friendship Dance!, on Friday February 10^th.  This event will be from 6:30 - 8:30 at our school. It is open to Reeves students only. Olympia High School Football is hosting a Kids Night Out on March 24^th. Kids give your parents the night off and come hang out with the Olympia High School Football Team at our first annual Kids Night Out. The night will be hosted and supervised by Olympia High School Football Coaches and parent volunteers. This will be on March 24^th from 7:00 to 9:00 at the OHS Gym and Commons. The cost is $50 per child.

 

I think that about wraps it up. I can’t say I am sad to be saying goodbye to January. Pretty sure today is January 50^th… it has felt like the longest month. Looking forward to brighter days in February! I hope you all have a calm week ahead!
