Reeves RAMblings - February 5-9, 2024

Greetings Reeves families,

Students taking PE second semester require a PE shirt. These are for sale in our office, and cost $9. PE shirts are available in adult sizes S-XXL. You can pay with cash, card, or check in the office. You can also pay by card over the phone by calling our office at 360.596.3400.

Running Club is still happening on Tuesday afternoons. Students are able to join at any time. We will be running the next two weeks (Feb 6 and 13), have two weeks off (Feb 20 and 27), and then we will continue to meet on Tuesdays through the end of March.

RMS Homework Club starts February 8th! Homework Club will be open after school (until 5:20) every Thursday on a drop-in-basis, no registration required! Two amazing high school students will serve as tutors to help students complete assignments, learn new skills, and gain confidence. Bus transportation home is available.

Girls Soccer and Boys Basketball start Thursday, February 22nd. Practices will be held right after school on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 4:00 to 5:30 pm. To register your student, please go to the FamilyID website. You will need a current copy of your sports physical form and can upload it by scanning it or taking a photo of it with your phone. Physicals are good for 13 months from the date of the exam. The Pay to Play fee is $60 per sport and can be made online or by calling the front office.

The City of Olympia Parks and Recreation will be sponsoring the Reeves Valentine’s Ball on February 9th from 6:30-8:30pm. Black and white attire is encouraged and the entry fee is $7 cash at the door. PTA will be offering concessions, so bring money if you want a snack! The signup genius for parent chaperones and concession workers is here: SignUp Genius. This is a dance for Reeves students only. We are excited to see students have fun with all of the different activities that are offered!

Second Semester Grades affect 8th grader’s ability to participate in high school fall sports (cheer, cross country, drill, girls golf, girls soccer, girls swimming, girls volleyball boys football, and boys tennis). This is a reminder to keep up your grades.

Have a great weekend!
